Perge Aspendos Side the Historical sites of Antalya

Perge / Perga is an important ancient city of Pamphylia literally meaning “of mingled tribes or races”, once the capital of Pamphylia Secunda. In the region south of Asia Minor, extending from the Mediterranean to the Taurus Mountains, a large site of ancient ruins 15 kilometres east of Antalya. Aspendos is known for having the best-preserved theatre of antiquity. With a diameter of 96 meters, it provided seating for 12.000 spectators.
