We will walk through this fascinating valley to see naturally shaped unique rock formations that resembling human , animal and other various figures. . Some of the most famous, or the easiest to distinguish, animal shapes are the camel, snake, seals, and dolphin . Let your imagination run wild to find many more !
⏲ 45 minThan proceed to Avanos town . This small town sits next to the Turkey’s longest river, Kizilirmak (Red River).We’ll Explore today’s fascinating culture. The art, creativity and endeavor of it’s men and women manifest in its pottery and rug weavings. Avanos is very well known with it’s red earthenware pottery that was first discovered by the Hittites during the Bronze Age. Since 2000 BC potters in the town has been obtaining red pottery clay from the river and with their marvellous touches clay turning into piece of arts on to primitive kickwheels. We will see a pottery studio set in a cave complex that also offers pottery-making demonstrations, and the chance to spin a bowl yourself.
⏲ 60 minLunch in a stylish authentic cave restaurant.Amongst the main course varieties pottery kebap is highly recommended. It is an Anatolian speciality prepared in a clay pot or jug. It’s usually made with beef or chicken with vegetables like tomatoes, eggplants , onions, garlic, and potatoes. Traditionally cooked in a tandoor or clay oven, the pot is sealed with bread dough and left to simmer in its own juices for hours. When ready, the blazing hot jug is brought out and cracked in front of you, releasing the aroma of its still gurgling contents whilst treating the diners to a little tableside theater. It’s a tasty spectacle a must-try for anyone visiting Cappadocia.

We’ll discover the fresco-adorned rock-cut churches with dazzling wall decorations .Museum is listed as one of the ‘’World Heritage Site’’ of UNESCO. Frescoes of the chapels here certainly one of the greatest venues of medieval art in the world, During our visit we’ll see Dark Church (Karanlik Kilise ) as well (Extra admission fee of the church is included) .

Due to it’s strategical position looking over the surrounding area with views for miles, residents could see any enemy armies that might be approaching. In history that’s the reason why all ancient civilazations who lived in Cappadocia used here as their military base, observation and defense point. From here you’ll have the most breathtaking, panoramic views of the nearby towns, valleys and magical fairy chimneys.
