Kaymaklı Underground City

In Cappadocia, there are two different types of tours for tourists, known as the “green” and “red” tours. The Green Tour covers the underground cities, rocky valleys, and historic churches in the southern part of the region. This tour typically includes sites such as the Ihlara Valley, the Derinkuyu Underground City, Selime Cathedral, and Pigeon Valley. The Red Tour, on the other hand, features the fairy chimneys, open-air museums, historic churches, and scenic views of Cappadocia in the northern part of the region. It visits popular sites such as the Göreme Open-Air Museum, Ürgüp, Paşabağı Valley, Avanos, and Devrent Valley. Both tours typically take tourists along predetermined routes and are conducted with local guides. The Green and Red Tours are popular options for tourists who want to explore Cappadocia in a short amount of time.
