The time before sunset, which photographers call the "golden hour", is when the light is softest and the colors warmest. While the harsh, overhead midday sun flattens the texture of the rocks, the low evening sun does the opposite: it outlines every crack, every curve and every cave window with a golden contour. At this hour, the fairy chimneys glow as if lit from within.

Unlike the daytime tours, the Sunset Nostalgic Electric Vehicle Tour runs only once a day. This is a deliberate choice: the sun sets only once a day, and this tour is designed to make the most of that brief window. Thanks to seasonal departure times, whether you come in the July heat or the December chill, you won’t miss the sun bidding farewell to the horizon.

Limited spots also make this tour a more boutique, relaxed experience. Unlike the busy daytime hours, the valleys are much quieter and more peaceful in the late afternoon; you won't have to scramble for space at the viewpoints, and you'll have the view all to yourself. We strongly recommend booking in advance to secure your spot.

Our route starts in Göreme, passes through Çavuşin Valley, Göreme Balloon Field and the Church of St. John the Baptist, and ends at Sevda Garden. The order of the route is planned to follow the changing light through the late afternoon: at the start of the journey you'll catch warm yellow tones on the rocks, in the middle a coppery red, and at the end an orange-pink sky stretching across the whole horizon.

As the sunset tour departs only once a day and places are limited, advance booking is required. Departure is at 17:30 in the summer season and 16:00 in the winter season; during seasonal changeovers, the current departure time is confirmed at booking. The tour lasts about 1 hour and the meeting point is Göreme.
