Why a Sunset Tour?

The last light of the day creates a completely different atmosphere in Ayvalık. The temperature drops, the forest cools down and the horizon changes color by the minute. Watching the setting sun reflect on the sea while passing the foot of Şeytan Sofrası is the most photographed moment of this tour. How Does the Route Go?

The tour starts from the meeting point opposite the Gendarmerie in Sarımsaklı. After a short safety briefing and an introduction to the ATVs, the convoy sets off as the sun begins to sink.

Stop 1: Murat Reis Bay (STOP 1)

At the end of the first 5-kilometer stage, we reach Murat Reis Bay. In the evening hours, the bay's calm waters reflect the colors of the setting sun like a mirror — a perfect start for the tour's first photo stop.

Stop 2: Badavut Woodland (BREAK 2)

After the bay, the route heads into the forest, which takes on a whole new beauty in the cool of the evening. Riding along dirt tracks for 6 kilometres as the last rays of daylight filter through the pine trees is the most peaceful part of the tour.

Stop 3: Badavut Ancient Stone Quarry (STOP 3) — Sunset Point

At the end of the 8-kilometre stage, we reach the highlight of the tour: the Badavut Ancient Stone Quarry and the viewpoints around it. From here, the sun setting over Kleopatra Beach Badavut and Badavut Beach paints the sky red, giving onlookers a view they will never forget. During this stop, we take time to relax and watch the sun meet the sea.

Return: The Coastline at Twilight

After sunset, the route goes down to the Sarımsaklı coastline. With the last colors of twilight and the coastal lights starting to come on, the return leg of about 7 kilometers brings the tour to a cinematic finish. The route runs along Sarımsaklı Beach and ends where we started.

Things to Know

A short briefing is given before the tour, and wearing a helmet is mandatory. As this tour takes place in the evening, it is especially important to follow the guide's instructions and keep to the convoy order. We take care not to harm nature and ask all our participants to take their rubbish back with them. Bringing a light layer is recommended, as the air cools down after sunset.
