Ayvalık ATV Safari Tour: Nature, History and Adventure Combined

Ayvalık, the pearl of the Aegean, with its hills covered in olive trees, pine forests and turquoise coves, is a unique destination not only for swimming but also for adventurous exploration. Our ATV safari trail of about 30 kilometers starts from Sarımsaklı and brings together the peninsula's most beautiful viewpoints, hidden coves and historical stops in a fun 2-hour ride. Thanks to the easy and fun trail, even those who have never ridden an ATV before can join with ease.

How Does the Route Go?

Our tour starts in front of our office opposite the Gendarmerie in Sarımsaklı. After a short safety briefing and an introduction to the vehicles, the engines start and the adventure begins.

Stop 1: Murat Reis Bay (STOP 1)

After an enjoyable ride of about 5 kilometers from the starting point, we make our first stop at Murat Reis Bay. With its turquoise sea and calm atmosphere, this bay is ideal for taking photos and catching your breath. The D-Resort Ayvalık Murat Reis hotel is located right nearby.

Stop 2: Badavut Woodland (BREAK 2)

After leaving the bay, the route turns inland into lush woodland. On this 6-kilometre stage, you ride along dirt tracks surrounded by the scent of pine and get a close look at Ayvalık's unspoiled nature. At our second break in the Badavut woodland, you can rest in the shade and enjoy the sounds of nature.

Stop 3: Badavut Ancient Quarry (BREAK 3)

The 8-kilometer section, the longest stage of the course, takes us into the historic fabric of the region. The Badavut Ancient Quarry, with traces dating back centuries, is the cultural stop on our route. Here you witness history and take a photo break against the unique view of Kleopatra Beach Badavut and Badavut Beach.

Return: Along the Coastline

After the last stop, the route descends to the Sarımsaklı coastline. With the deep blue waters of the Aegean on one side and golden sandy beaches on the other, the approximately 7-kilometer return stage is one of the most enjoyable parts of the tour. The route runs along Sarımsaklı Beach and ends at our starting point.

Other Sights Along the Route

Along the route, the trail passes the foot of the famous Şeytan Sofrası (Devil's Table); this spot, which offers an enchanting view at sunset, adds extra value to the tour's rich scenery. The route also passes near accommodations such as Sancak Apart Otel, Ve Hotels Ayvalık and Hotel Billurcu, along Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Boulevard and Atatürk Boulevard, making it extremely convenient for guests staying in the area.

Things to Know

Your safety and the protection of nature come first for us. A short briefing is given before the tour; wearing a helmet is mandatory and the guide's instructions must be followed throughout the tour. We take care not to harm nature and kindly ask all participants to take their rubbish back with them.
